aw, thank you! well, i’m from california so it was nice to see a show about california (even though orange county isn’t like the majority of the state). mostly, i really identified with marissa; i know most people don’t really like marissa but i always felt like she was very relatable, even though her problems were often on the extreme side. her parents getting divorced, her tough relationship with her mom, and the general feelings of helplessness in her own life are things i feel like a lot of people can relate to. on the opposite end, i feel like the cohen family is near perfect and it’s great to watch those dynamics; even though they had their fair share of drama they always treated each other well and will probably always be one of the best television families. even though the story lines could be ridiculous at times, i love the characters, relationships, pop culture references, soundtrack, and how the show is both dramatic and touching while also having hilarious and cute moments.
